Periods

A period describes the timeframe for which a subscription is valid. It could either be MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, HALFYEAR or YEARLY.

To put in context:
A Quarterly period - runs for 3 months
A Half year period - runs for 6 months
A Yearly period - runs for 12 months

The period of a subscription must be defined as one of the parameters for creating a subscription product. In addition, if a subscription has a commitment cycle, the numberOfPeriods for the commitment cycle also has to be defined in the parameters.
