Discounts & Refunds

This gives a conceptual overview of how subscription discounts and refunds work in the different resources.

Subscription Discounts

In many scenarios, you might want to create ad-hoc discounts for future subscription periods. By using the subscription discount feature, the merchant is able to discount up to and including the subscription amount for one or several future periods. Subscription discounts can be deleted if no longer applicable, but whatever has been invoiced since the discount was added will stay unaffected. Deleting a subscription discount will only affect the residual subscription periods of which the discount would have affected.

Refund Consumptions

The merchant can refund a consumption but only full refunds are currently available. If the consumption has already been invoiced, a credit note will be created and the customer would be notified. If the consumption is not yet invoiced, then the refund will be deducted from the invoice of which the consumption is included.
